Optic in Red - Tana Lawn Cotton
Optic in Red - Tana Lawn Cotton
Like looking at a flower through a translucent prism, Optic Floral offers a deconstruction of light and form. Originally hand-painted in gouache in 1959, its spectacularly-saturated design is characterised by striking intersections of colour and unexpected chromatic shadows. This print is part of the Spectrum story of Liberty’s Spring/Summer 2024 collection - influenced by eclectic modern art movements, from the bold complementary hues of Fauvism to the synesthete musicality of the Orphists, with designs paying tribute to a vibrant array of colourful phenomena and pigment conception.
“Colour! What a deep and mysterious language, the language of dreams.” – Paul Gaugin
Tana Lawn Cotton is made from specially selected ultra-fine long staple cotton, woven from 70 and 100 ply yarns, with a 240 thread count. Great for wicking away sweat and drying quickly in humid weather. Milled in Italy.
